A clear plan to work towards is the first helping hand you will get from your trainer.

FAQs

Is 1:1 dog training better than group classes?

1:1 training is usually better if you want faster progress, your dog is reactive or easily distracted, or you need help with a specific behaviour (pulling, barking, recall, jumping up). Group classes can be great for foundations and social learning, but they’re less tailored to your dog and your home routine.

How many private dog training sessions do I need?

It depends on the behaviour and how consistent you can be between sessions. Many owners see real improvement in 2–4 sessions for one main issue (like loose lead walking), while more complex behaviour challenges (like reactivity or aggression) often need a longer plan with step-by-step support and practice below threshold.

Does 1:1 training really work?

Yes because it’s tailored to your dog, your home, and your real-life routines. Instead of generic advice, we focus on the exact situations youre struggling with and build a plan that fits.

What if my dog behaves differently at home vs outside?

Thats very common, and it’s exactly where 1:1 shines. We can train in the environments that actually matter (home, garden, street, park) and build skills gradually so your dog can cope in the real worldnot just in a class setting.

Will 1:1 training work if my dog is reactive or too difficult?

Often, yes. 1:1 is ideal for dogs who struggle around other dogs/people because we can work below threshold, prioritise safety, and avoid overwhelming setups while still making progress.
